Just Breathe

It’s that time of year again. The 21st running of the Los Angeles Marathon will take place on March 19th, 2005. This is a marathon that is near and dear to my heart. I have run the Los Angeles Marathon a total of four times. Los Angeles is a great place to run your first marathon. The course is relatively flat, the weather is usually perfect and the music and spectators along the course are more than motivational. Professionaly runners have said that the Los Angeles Marathon is too crowded with beginning runners, but that’s what makes it so great if it’s your first marathon.

If you have already been running approximately 30 miles per week, you have plenty of time to train. Online registration is open at lamarathon.com. I highly recommend getting the personalized bib so that you can hear the voices of complete strangers cheering you on by name.
