Another great event for kids, brought to you by the good folks at Nike. Join Nike on May 4, 2008 for the Nike 5K for Kids. This series has raised over $1 million for schools across the country and was named 2007 Youth Programs Contributor of the Year by Running USA!
Nike has a simple mission. Get kids moving and give them the means to do it. The Nike 5K for Kids is dedicated to youth physical fitness: 100% of entry fees will be donated to the local school Physical Education, play, and athletic program of your choice! Run or walk the 3.1 miles or the Let Me Play 1 Mile. The Nike 5K for Kids is a family-friendly event, so parents and children are encouraged to participate together.
