What’s For Dinner? Poached Halibut

Thought I would post a fantastic recipe from Clean Eating Magazine that I’ve made for dinner a couple of times now. Top Chef’s Carla Hall adds tea to infuse ingredients with a little “oompah.” Feel free to substitute any type of white fish for the halibut. I’ve also made this without having any mint tea bags and it was still as tasty. This elegant meal is an easy introduction to poaching fish.

Clean Eating Affirmation

A few months ago my husband and I decided to drastically clean up our diet for our overall health and our wallet. After watching the movie Food Inc., we started with a few major changes. We threw out everything in our pantry containing high fructose corn syrup, started buying local/organic produce from our neighborhood farmer’s market and reading the ingredients on everything we buy.

I ran across this article on Huffington Post this morning:

It just re-affirms that all the effort we are putting into sourcing and prepping the food we eat is worth the extra effort. Look for posts in the future highlighting our adventures in clean eating.
